Duplicating Fields

FillFaster Support

Last Update 6 months ago

Duplicate fields refer to creating identical copies of existing form fields within a document. This feature simplifies form creation by allowing you to replicate fields with consistent settings, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

This also allows the recipient to enter the data field once, and let the same information populate multiple locations throughout the form. This streamlines the data entry, ensures consistency, and reduces the effort required from the user.

How to duplicate a field:

  • Select the box of the field you want to duplicate.
  • With your keyboard, copy and paste:
    • For Windows: Ctrl + C then Ctrl + V
    • For MacOS: Command + C then Command + V
  • Move the duplicate field to your desired location within the document.

Note: You can also duplicate multiple fields at once by selecting all the desired fields and then using the copy-and-paste commands mentioned above.

Duplicate fields will have the “(Repeating Field Name)” on the form.

If you wish the recipient to input a similar field more than once, rename the field(s) to your desired name.
