Single-Use Form vs. Template Form

FillFaster offers two main ways to structure your forms. The best choice depends on how you intend to use them.

Single-Use Form

This is a regular form you create for a specific one-time purpose. It includes all the information inside and just needs the recipient’s signature.

When to use them: Single-use forms shine for documents where most of the information is pre-set:

  • Customized contracts: Specific terms and details tailored to an individual or project.
  • Reports: Present findings, summaries, or other pre-written information.
  • Agreements: Specific legal documents with pre-defined clauses.

Template Form

This is a template document with blank areas for the recipient data/dynamic data like prices and can be used repeatedly.

Alternatively, a template form can be used to collect submissions from people when you don’t have all the information about them with one static link

When to use them: Template forms have placeholders to insert specific information each time you use them. Think of them as 'fill-in-the-blank' style documents.

  • Repetitive Forms: Any document where the basic structure stays the same but specific details (like prices, dates, names) change each time. Examples include invoices, rental applications, and some types of contracts.
  • Collecting Submissions: Use a template form to collect information from multiple people, but you may not know all their details in advance. Consent forms and general employment contracts work well this way.
